Hometown Favorites began
in the late 1990's as a resource for displaced Northerners living in
South Florida. These folks had left behind the treats and flavors of
their local regions. When Hometown Favorites moved to the web in 1998 it
began bringing people foods from back home and also nostalgic candies
most did not know were still available. America was hooked on a sweet
tooth indulged, trip down memory lane.
As time moved on and the
business grew at the lightning pace of the life on the internet,
Hometown Favorites
expanded the selection of items it offered to the public. What was once
a couple hundred items ballooned in short order to thousands of items
and almost every one of those items had one thing in common - a customer
requested it. Hometown Favorites also introduced the
Decade Box, a collection of candies from specific eras.
The Decade Box was quickly imitated but never duplicated.
